Panasonic Toughbook CF-C1 Convertible Now with ‘Sandy Bridge’ Core i5 CPU will arrive to the US in July 2011
Panasonic has upgraded the Toughbook CF-C1 12.1-inch convertible laptop with the new Intel Core processor.
Panasonic rarely changes the look of Toughbook mobile computers, and so is the case this time. The silver business-rugged chassis with up to 30 inch drop-resistant design, a spill resistant keyboard, triple hinges, and “strap and dome” cradle, now packs the new “Sandy Bridge” Intel Core i5-2520M dual-core processor.
The 1280 x 800 anti-glare screen supports multi touch and digitizer pen input, and optionally gloved multi touch.
The convertible has an up to 320GB hard drive rotating at 7,200rpm, 128GB solid state drive choice, up to 8GB RAM in select models, and a battery solution with dual hot-swapable units, together providing up to 12 hours of run time.
For wireless networking, the CF-C1 sports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and optionally available Gobi 2000 3G mobile broadband.
The weight starts at 3.28 pounds or 3.73 lbs with both batteries.
Panasonic says the new Toughbook CF-C1 will arrive to the US in July 2011, with a $2,599 price tag.
