The Dell Latitude XT3 convertible business-class laptop with a 13.3-inch touch display, Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors, and Windows 7 OS is now available for purchase on the US market.
With prices starting at $1,789, successor of the 12″ XT2 offers a 1366×768 swivel display supporting both multi-touch and pen input. The screen comes in “Daylight Viewable” and “Reduced Glare” flavors with automatic brightness adjustment, and the PC maker provides a choice between the standard-voltage Core i3 2310M, i5 2520M and i7 2620M dual core processors.
Dell’s Latitude XT3 runs on the integrated Intel HD 3000 series graphics and has up to 320GB of hard drive space or up to 256GB of solid state drive storage, as well as up to 8GB RAM.
The standard battery is 6-cell 44Wh Lithium-Ion, while the extended unit is 9-cell 76Wh. These can be combined with a-cell 97Wh slice battery for an “all day power”.
Regarding durability, the ruggedized convertible noteboook has magnesium alloy reinforcements behind each corner and meets MIL-STD-810G military standards. The keyboard is spill resistant.
Other notable features are keyboard backlight, 3G and WiMAX connectivity options, optional webcam, HDMI, advanced security features, and optional Intel vPro system management technology.
The starting weight for the tablet is 4.46 pounds.
