GIGABYTE Focuses on Extreme Performance and Exceptional Mobility for CeBIT 2011


TAIPEI, TAIWAN, March 01, 2011
 – GIGABYTE aims to unveil several new products to be featured at the CeBIT 2011 show in Hannover, Germany. From March 1st to March 5th, GIGABYTE will showcase the latest gear for computer media and enthusiasts and give a sneak peek into what technology highlights can be expected for the rest of the year.

Motherboards
Leading industrial quality standards and technology innovations, GIGABYTE is excited to show the world their newly redesigned 6 series motherboards featuring Intel’s new B3 stepping chipsets, as well as offering a sneak peek at GIGABYTE’s latest extreme overclocking motherboard, the X58A-OC. The X58A-OC motherboard was designed in part by world renowned overclocker HiCookie for extreme overclocking enthusiasts. Featuring a host of features designed to shatter current world overclocking records while leaving off the features overclockers don’t need, this is GIGABYTE’s most unique motherboard to date.

Also on showcase this year is the newly launched G1-Killer Gaming motherboard series as well as GIGABYTE’s AMD offerings including the new revision 800 series motherboards which offer support for AMD’s upcoming AM3+ socket CPUs, not to mention the GA-E350N-USB3, GIGABYTE’s first Mini-ITX motherboard for the AMD platform.


Graphics Cards 
On the high-end graphics platform, GIGABYTE introduces a powerful new addition to its Super Overclock Series: GTX 580 SOC (GV-N580SO-15I). To qualify for Super Overclock Series, a GPU must go through GIGABYTE’s innovative GPU Gauntlet™ Sorting process and it must be equipped with Ultra Durable VGA or VGA+ boards. Designed specifically for overclocking competition and gaming battle, GIGABYTE’s secret weapon GTX 580 Super Overclock Edition is built with NVDIA GeForce GTX 580 GPU. Based on 40nm processor and advanced GDDR5 memory technology, the powerful new GPU consists of ground-breaking features including Microsoft DirectX® 11 and NVIDIA PhysX™ which lead to incredibly immersive HD gaming experience and unrivaled performance. To satisfy hardcore gamers and extreme overclockers, GV-N580SO-15I is especially designed with GIGABYTE Extreme Dual BIOS technology. GV-N580SO-15I also features WINDFORCE™ 3X, 14 phase PWM design, OC Guru graphic card smart tuner and voltage read point.

Notebooks
On the notebook front GIGABYTE has set itself apart by releasing a high-performing slate called the S1080. The S1080 is an exciting 10.1” capacitive multi-touch slate PC that is designed for business and professional users who need a high-performing multi-tasking slate that offers the full productivity of Windows® 7. The slate is powered by an Intel® Atom™ N550 dual core processor. Weighing just 0.89kg and with 320GB of built-in storage, the S1080 is great for traveling and the perfect mobile device to satisfy consumers’ demanding business needs. The S1080 also features a navigator button that allows users to conveniently move the cursor around the screen to easily edit documents and access programs.

Another unique notebook to be shown at CeBIT 2011 is the world’s first 3-in-1 computer, the Booktop™T1125. The T1125 is a sleek and high-performing computer with an 11.6” capacitive multi-touch display that can instantly change from a laptop to a tablet to a desktop with GIGABYTE’s innovative docking station. The T1125 is powered by an Intel® Core™ i5/i3 ULV (ultra-low voltage) processor to provide powerful processing power in a lightweight design.

PC Peripheral 
Adding to the already popular gaming device, GIGABYTE extends its Aivia peripheral series with M8600 Wireless Macro Gaming Mouse at this year’s CeBIT. M8600 is the world’s first wireless gaming mouse to guarantee 100-hour nonstop gaming experience. Plus, it also consists of a wide range of state-of-the-art features, including two-second quick-swap battery system (patent pending), multi-functional charging dock, twin-eye gaming-grade laser engine, and GHOST™ macro engine technology.
